What is it?

Do you ever wonder how your phone or TV works? Or how all the appliances in your family’s kitchen were made? All of these items were first created, designed, and built by engineers. Engineering is the process of applying math and science to the design and manufacturing of machines, equipment, and almost anything that is man-made.

What will I do?

  •  Designs new products, equipment, or machinery
  • Manufactures new products or machinery, usually in a production facility
  • Creates better processes to improve production
  • Maintains the computers and machines that makes the new products
  • Inspects the final products, providing quality assurance
